Intershop trolleys

Intershop trolleys are the most universal, practical and therefore the most widespread type of intershop and intrashop vehicles. They are put onto railway tracks and used to move heavy loads. The use of such trolleys ensures the quick and reliable transportation of materials, large-size products and their units, which considerably improves the whole technological process.

Rail-guided carts

Power-driven transfer carts have the form of a self-propelled platform operating from electricity supplied in the following two ways:

• using a cable drawn through a special channel or a wound drum. This drive includes an AC motor, reduction gear, coupling, brake and chain gears;
• using a spring-loaded current collector (collecting shoe). A DC electric drive is made in the form of a continuous trolley wire laid in a tray between rails.

In the second case, the length of a railway track can reach 1 km.

Rail-guided carts are controlled in the following two ways:

• using a control panel installed on the platform;
• from a control panel attached to the wall.

It is also possible to install a replicated radio control system.

How to choose carts

The main factors according to which all intershop vehicles and, in particular, rail-guided transfer carts are chosen are as follows:

• categories of transported goods, their main characteristics and parameters;
• transportation distances, route directions;
• scope and intensity of cargo traffic;
• special aspects of the production process;
• characteristics of starting and ending points;
• special aspects related to shops, warehouses and other objects of production and transport communication;
• presence and length of railway tracks.

Depending on each of these factors, a cart of relevant dimensions and load capacity is chosen, including such parameters as power supply and control methods.

In case of serial production, workshop rail-guided carts have standard sizes:

• 2.7х1.65х0.54 m;
• 4х2.03х0.54 m;
• 5х2.03х0.583 m;
• 6х2.03х0.583 m.

The size of a track is 152 or 80 cm. Optionally, carts can be equipped with components ensuring the high-quality transportation of special loads and mechanisms for their combination.
